Joe Thornton (#19) plays Center for the San Jose Sharks. In the 2005-2006 NHL season, Joe Thornton won the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player (MVP), in voting held by the NHL Professional Hockey Writers' Association. He also won the Art Ross Trophy as NHL scoring champion with 125 points (29 goals and 96 assists). Thornton was drafted in 1997 as the #1 overall pick by the Boston Bruins.
